BIOLOGICAL SEX & GENDER DISCLAIMER

The distinction between sex and gender differentiates biological sex (the anatomy of an individual's reproductive system, the predominance of certain hormones over others and secondary sex characteristics) from a person’s gender, which may refer to either social roles based on the sex of the person (gender role) or the personal identification of one's gender based on an internal awareness (gender identity).

In some circumstances, an individual's assigned gender and sex do not align, and the individual may be transgender. In others, a person may have biological sex characteristics that complicate sex assignment, and the person may be intersex. In ordinary speech, sex and gender are often used interchangeably.

We base our programmes, packages and the methods described, on the biological needs of the person no matter what their gender. We base our research, testing and educate the client based on biological not cultural cues. Whilst we may demonstrate expertise in balancing certain types of hormones, we recognise the needs of all genders and that whilst certain hormones are designated as “male” or “female”, all biological sexes possess a unique combination of hormones. We work with all genders to assess and address their requirements at a biological level.
