My relationship with food has completely changed
Before I consulted with Holly, I wanted to improve my general health, my reliance on sugar and have a better relationship with food. I found I was tired a lot of the time, had dull-skin and it was difficult to lose weight, despite running three times a week. I would often get lethargic mid-afternoon and I turned to sugar when I needed an energy hit or when I was feeling a bit down. As a mother to daughters, I also wanted to change my food habits so they would have a positive relationship as well.
Holly asked if I would be willing to take some tests to assess my health or hormone levels. This was reassuring so I knew there was a lot of science and data behind her suggestions. I changed my diet to include a lot more protein as this was contributing to the tiredness and lack of energy. I also included more iron-rich foods, oily fish, berries and prebiotic foods into my diet in order to gain the nutrients I was lacking previously. Holly also suggested some supplements and probiotics to further enhance my diet.
Within a week or so, I noticed such a difference in my energy levels. I no longer craved sugar or had the afternoon tiredness. My hair, nails and skin are better and I feel I can think clearer. Holly’s breakfast suggestion gives me so much energy for the morning I am able to do so much more than before. I have lost inches from by waist and hips and I am able to run for further and faster now I am eating a more balanced diet.
Holly has changed my life. My relationship with food has completely changed and I can’t believe it has taken me so long to know what I should be eating. I am now interested in what I prepare and no longer snack throughout the day. I look forward to my meals and enjoy cooking, something I found as a chore previously. I hardly eat chocolate or sugary snacks now, which would have been inconceivable a few months ago. It took me a while to decide whether to get advice about my diet and lifestyle and I am so glad I did, I am much happier and healthier having had my consultations with Holly.
